Phil served for many years as an RAF ATCO in a variety of controlling, instructing, specialist and non-specialist command and staff appointments, both at home and abroad. Immediately prior to joining the CAA he had served in DAP as Assistant Director, AP2. Phil is a trainee NPPL flying mainly out of Brize Norton.

Prior to his appointment, John was Head of Approvals and Deputy Head of the CAA's Personnel Licensing Department. He has extensive knowledge of the general aviation and flight training sectors, having been involved in light aviation for many years. He was previously the CAA Chief Flight Examiner before taking up the Approvals post.

Jonathan works for the CAA’s Corporate Communications Department and has been responsible for the publicity of many of the CAA’s general aviation projects including On-Track and the NPPL. He has a good knowledge of GA issues, having previously worked at a small GA airfield for many years.

Dave is an RAF ATCO seconded to the Directorate of Airspace Policy. Having controlled at various terminal ATC units both within the UK and overseas, he has also spent time as an ATC instructor and examiner. A keen GA pilot, he is currently studying for his CPL.

CAA DAP Terminal AirspaceDave is an RAF ATCO seconded to the Directorate of Airspace Policy. He has controlled at numerous aerodromes including Brize Norton and (as SATCO) Boscombe Down, plus LATCC (Mil), and Belga Radar (Belgium). He has also served in ATC and non-ATC staff appointments and was the DAP representative at ‘On Track’ project meetings.
Mr Malcolm CampbellCAA SRG ATSSDHaving followed a variety of jobs in military and civil air traffic control both in the UK and abroad, Malcolm currently works for the CAA’s SRG as a Southern Region Air Traffic Services Inspector.

Prior to joining the CAA as a Training Standards Inspector in 1995, Mike had served the RAF for a number of years as a navigator and navigation instructor, flying in a variety of multi-engined types. He has held a civil flight navigation licence since 1974, and is a qualified civil pilot and experienced flying instructor. Mike is an approved Flight Instructor Course trainer, Flight Instructor Examiner and Chief Radiotelephony Examiner.
Ms Gill GalwayCAA SRG GAD (Policy)Following a variety of jobs in both civil and military aviation, Gill currently works in the Policy Section of SRG's General Aviation Department, and is an active PPL flying mainly in South East England.
Mr Alan SiddowayAirport Operators AssociationAl joined Serco after serving many years as a military and latterly civil ATCO. Formerly Air Traffic Services manager at Filton, Al is currently Serco Defence and Aerospace’s Aviation Safety Manager. As such he is responsible for developing and implementing the company Safety Management System to Serco's UK and European ATS and Airport Contracts.

Nigel trained as a National Service pilot in the RAF on Piston Provosts and Vampire FB5s and T11s. He has published books, writes for aviation journals and is the editor of GASCo Flight Safety. Currently he flies a P28R, a Steen Skybolt and a Turbulent.
Mr Neil HarrisGuild of Air Traffic Control OfficersNeil is a civil ATCO working at Nottingham East Midlands Airport holding aerodrome, radar and instructor qualifications. Also provides A/G service at Nottingham Tollerton on occassions and is very involved with the local GA scene. He has held a PPL for over 10 years and continues to fly approx 50 hours per annum. Neil also co-edits "Transmit", the quarterly journal of GATCO.

Paul, a Chartered Surveyor/Project Manager, has been flying for 14 years, with a UK/USA IR (twin) for 11 years, with an average of 75 hours p.a. mostly on private flights in the UK and Europe. He has a TB20 based at Thruxton.
