The General Aviation Safety Council - GASCo - Welcomes Donations
GASCo is a charitable body whose object is to foster the development of General Aviation in the United Kingdom along
safe lines by encouraging competence, safety and good airmanship
among General Aviation pilots and operators and all concerned with General Aviation activities.
General Aviation includes all forms of aviation other than airline operation, and military operations.
GASCo survives by voluntary donations by aviation linked companies, clubs, bodies and individuals.
All donations, including small ones, are very welcome and will be acknowledged. Many clubs or groups run social events and deliberately
charge slightly more than the real cost just to ensure they do not make a loss on the evening, and then want to
donate the small excess to an aviation charity. Many individuals or companies want to make a donation to an aviation
charity for various reasons. Sometimes, after a bereavement, donations to charities are requested by relatives.
Whatever the reason, this page makes it easy to donate sums from £1 to £1000. (Higher sums would be very welcome, but
due to online payment rules, these would have to be done by contacting GASCo directly - see the GASCo tab at the
top of this page)
To Donate to GASCo online, you can use the ubiquitous PAYPAL system or any 'normal' credit or debit card. The system
happens to use PAYPAL as a transfer medium, but YOU do not need a Paypal account to use it. (If you do have a Paypal
account, of course, you can use it, but some people worry that have to 'sign up' to donate with a card - they don't).
To make a donation to GASCo, just click on the button below. If you do not have a paypal account, when the first page
comes up, just click on the link that says that - you will NOT be forced to sign up. (Note that for the remainder of
this year, your payment will be routed to GASCo through a separate company account, but GASCo will receive
all of your donation minus a single small deduction taken by Paypal for providing the online service. Your donation
will be acknowledged.)
