You can view a real radar replay of an infringement
here if you have Windows Media player.... but before you do, read the following to understand
what you are seeing....in this case, the infringing aircraft, squawking 7000, is
already infringing at FL091 heading towards Compton VOR. (The 3 digits beneath the squawk - the NMS means 'no mode S' - give the flight
level). As the clip progresses, you'll see controlled airspace is down to FL085 here. Then the controller gets an
early conflict warning - the dotted white line - indicating a problem against a Luton departure routing to the VOR
squawking '0355' at FL090 - so it is never allowed near. Later, as the clip
progresses there is further avoidance workload for pilots and controllers - watch the 3256 squawk at FL080 which
is vectored and kept level and as it passes the infringer, the latter starts a descent.
It's well annotated, no need to say much more, look and learn!
